Professor Lilit Shakaryan Founder and CEO of LEAD Marketing Communications & Research Company Since 2023, PhD Candidate, Researcher, Lecturer at the University of Nevada, Reno US Lilit Shakaryan is holding the position of a lecturer at the Department of Sociology, Yerevan State University since 2009 In her capacity she has a crucial role in the strategic development of the faculty. Particularly, she has supported to the development of two new specializations at the department (Public Relations Study, Women and Leadership Studies), developed and taught ten courses, not only at the Department of Sociology (courses - Modern PR Technologies, PR Campaign Planning, Branding, Sociology of Advertising, PR Chrestomathy, Public Relations: Basics and Practice, Social Construction of Gender, Gender and Communication) but also at the department of European Languages and Communication (course - PR Technologies) and Department of Journalism (course – Public Opinion Research Methodology, Sociology of Mass Media). Lilit Shakaryan published a number of scholarly articles on modern sociological issues. The most important achievements of Lilit Shakaryan is the development of Armenian language professional literature concerning to which she has already published two books on “Brand Management” and “Communication Challenges in the Information Society” and continuing this process. Besides teaching she supervises diploma and master theses and becomes a member of Graduate Committee at YSU and Brusov State University. Professor Shakaryan is teaching at the International Universities as well: Complutense University of Madrid, Hradec Kralove University, Czech Republic, Fribourg University, Switzerland, State University of Moldova etc. Since 2003 Lilit Shakaryan has been involved in various sociological researches including those implemented by international organizations and YSU. She has worked in several UNDP, OSI, USAID, World Bank and World Vision projects. Starting from 2017 Lilit Shakaryan has a significant contribution to sphere of marketing being involved in market and business researches as well. She worked in leading Armenian manufacturing companies as a marketing and communication expert having specific contribution to the processes of correct positioning of the new brands, market research and analysis, as well as unique brand strategy creation and development. She has extensive experience in implementing business courses, international conferences and consulting. From the point of engagement in scholarly discourse she is a member in the following professional organizations: American Sociological Association (ASA), Member of International Sociological Association (ISA), Member of DAAD Alumni and member of EERA (European Educational Research Association). Lilit Shakaryan is an Expert on Women Rights and Women Empowerment Program at International Coopertaion Department, Office of the Human Rights Defender of RA (2022).
